Salary: £33,496 - £43,471 per annum

We’re on the lookout for a passionate teacher to deliver Functional and GCSE maths. You’ll be joining our dynamic maths team—a lively, ambitious, and successful department with an impressive track record in delivering Functional Skills and GCSE qualifications. We’re driven by a commitment to inspire young learners and empower them to build the essential skills they need to thrive and progress.

What does the role involve? 

• If you can bring maths to life in a way that engages, inspires and leads to high achievement, then you will be successful here at Tyne Coast College! 


• You will plan and deliver GCSE and Functional maths in a group setting to learners of varying abilities. 


• Provide constructive feedback to students on their academic progress. 


• You will contribute to curriculum development within the department. 

 Who are we looking for? 

• A dynamic, innovative and passionate teacher to deliver GCSE Mathematics and Functional Skills Mathematics across the college.  


• Candidates should be able to motivate and enthuse learners about mathematics through creative and inspiring delivery.  


• You will be a teacher, with a proven track record of excellent classroom practice who sets high expectations. 


• Strong communication and interpersonal skills and someone who can work collaboratively, with a close-knit team.
